Meet Go Au Pair in Rhode Island!

I would love to hear from each of my readers, but since that is not likely, let me tell you a little about myself. To refresh your memory, I am a certified teacher with degrees in Special Education and Middle Level education. I have been a private tutor at Tutor Doctor RI since 2012 as well as Local Area Representative (or LAR) for Go Au Pair. This Utah-based au pair agency is a dynamic business with awesome people in their main office. I have been there and I know you will love working with them too. I am also wife to Christopher, mom to six kids and private tutor to a few great families!Ā  I have been working with the great families of Go Au Pair Providence since the summer of 2012. Here is a little about us.

Go Au Pair is a Department of State-designated sponsor, since 1989, for American families to host available au pairs from over 50 different countries as part of the Au Pair Program! Families who need reliable and responsible childcare get that and so much more. Au pairs can become a trusted family member and big brother or sister when they live with you for a year or more. Au pairs are English-speaking young adults, ages 18-26, who have already passed a 17-point screening process, background check, personality profile, and received 32 hours child care training in child development & safety. Host Families can also send their au pair to our exclusive NCY Workshop for CPR and First Aid certification, with review of other helpful topics, plus a tour of the Big Apple!

Au pairs can provide live-in care & perform child-related tasks like meal prep for kids, children’s laundry, cleaning children’s playroom & bedrooms. Right now, RI families (and some zip codes in Eastern CT and Southeast/Central MA) are eligible for our best rates yet! Full time au pairs work up to 45 hrs per week for as low as $7.31 per hour, or up to 30 hrs as low as $9.22 per hour. That is a great value when compared to traditional daycare or hiring a Nanny, especially when you consider all the extras you get, like homework help, language lessons, and enhancement of cultural and educational experiences every day for a year! We will even match competing agency offers! Go Au Pair offers a cultural childcare experience like no other!

As the LAR in RI (actually a 60-minute radius from my home), I am lucky enough to support local families and au pairs throughout their participation in the program. I plan at least six activities each year for au pairs and host families to meet, share experiences, and have a good time together. We went snow tubing in February and have plans to attend an off-road motorcycle race this weekend. We also join the Boston cluster of au pairs for their events, when we can. We'd love to have you join us. Please text or email me and I will include you in my evite list!
