Middle East Students, Activists in Library

The Barrington library hosts a State Department-sponsored visit from university students and activists in the Middle East.

Middle East university students and activists will discuss current events and their culture tonight at 7 pm in the Barrington library.

The students are visiting the United States as part of a Middle East Partnership Initiative run by the State Department. The trip is designed to help them develop leadership skills and expand their understanding of civil society and the democratic process, according to a news release from the library.

Students are expected to share first-hand information about their lives in the Middle East.
