Pumpkin Junction Open for Business
The pumpkins for the annual Pumpkin Junction at St. John's Episcopal Church arrived for off-loading Friday morning.

The pumpkins for the annual fundraiser at St. John's Episcopal Church finally arrived for unloading Friday morning. They were expected about a week ago from the Navajo Indian reservation that supplies them. But a shipping snafu delayed them almost a week.
The result on Friday morning: the lawn in front of the “Red Church” on County Road was turning into a sea of orange with pumpkins of all sizes and shapes being unloaded.

The orange gourds will be on sale every day until Halloween from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and from 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The big day is tomorrow, Oct. 1, when a family festival runs from 10 am to 4 pm.
