Rainy Day Plans?

If you've been watching the local weather, you will know that it is supposed to be a rain-out on Saturday! Naturally, that's the day I planned an outdoor birthday party for my little girl! What are your rainy-day plans for this Saturday?

RI families and au pair caregivers may find themselves looking for a unique cultural experience. Your au pair might love to go to the RI Air Show this weekend, which will be rain or shine on both Saturday and Sunday, with some modifications, according to their FAQs. I may not be daring enough to go out in the rain, but any person adventurous enough to cross the globe to come and live with their new American family for a year might be willing to don some rain gear and go for it!

If you need some rainy-day ideas for something to do with the kids at home, check out the Au Pair Sis' Pinterest page for fun games like the Human Knot Challenge or arts and crafts or, three of my faves, breakfast, lunch and dinner! Get the kids, your au pair and the entire family together to explore some new recipes. It will lead to lots of discussion, maybe in multiple languages, some delicious foods to try on a rainy day, and memorable moments for everyone!

A rainy day is also a great time to research your childcare options for the upcoming summer season! If you might be interested in learning more about a cultural childcare experience with Go Au Pair in RI, go visit us at www.goaupair.com/promoRI.  Save up to 15%! Full time au pairs work up to 45 hours per week, flexible to your schedule!
