Readers' Choice: Clark for Taxes

Well, only a handful of voters participated in this week’s Readers’ Choice poll for the best place to get your income taxes done – especially at the last minute.

 But there was a definite favorite in Barrington -- at 166 Bay Spring Ave. The primary accountants are R. Gary Clark and John F. Woodward. They handle individual and business clients, and are surely extremely busy with only 10 days left to file returns.

The firm received 33 percent of the votes that were cast by 9 am this morning, when the poll ended. The poll started last Monday morning, April 2.

Perhaps there were too many selections or voters choosing to do their income tax returns themselves. Besides R. Gary Clark Associates, the choices were on County Road and several other CPAs: , , Chris E. Conti, Cindy Johnson-Canha and Christopher Anderson, who got 16 percent of the votes.

Then there were Heather Satterley, PRT Associates, Mathewson Associates and John Apice Tax Service. We also gave you a choice of picking any H&R Block office in the East Bay -- it got 16 percent of the votes as well.
