Recent Grad Earns Cox Scholarship

Selina Wang, an honor student and accomplished flutist, named a Cox Communications scholar.

A recent Barrington High School graduate has received a $2,000 scholarship from Cox Communications.

Selina Wang, an honor student, received the award at a ceremony at the Rhode Island State House. Recipients were chosen based on their academic achievement; community service, and interest in a career in the fields of communications, telecommunications, technology or engineering.

Wang was one of 90 applicants. Her application was reviewed by a Cox committee made up of community and business leaders. General Treasurer Gina Raimondo served as the honorary chairperson of the Cox Scholarship Program.
