RI Foundation names Barrington man to Board of Directors
Rhode Island Foundation names Jonathan Fain of Barrington to Board of Directors

Jonathan Fain of Barrington has been named to the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Foundation. As the state’s largest funder of nonprofit organizations, the Foundation awarded $41.5 million in grants to more than 1,600 nonprofits in 2015.
Fain is Chairman and CEO of Teknor Apex Company. The Pawtucket-based firm is a global custom compounder of advanced polymer materials with a focus on vinyls, thermoplastic elastomers, engineered thermoplastics, colorants and garden hoses.
He also serves on the board of directors of Rhode Island Public Radio, the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council and Lifespan. He is a graduate of Boston University.

"As a lifelong Rhode Islander, I am looking forward to adding my knowledge and experience to an organization that generations have trusted to invest in improving the future of our community,” Fain said.
Along with Fain, Coastal Medical CEO G. Alan Kurose of East Greenwich and Providence resident Carrie Bridges Feliz of Lifespan were also named to the Foundation’s board.
