River's Edge Realtors Take 'Leap'
Michelle Cartwright and Todd Mosher of Barrington's RE/MAX River's Edge realty cut a ribbon at their second office in East Providence on Feb. 29, Leap Day.
Realtors Michelle Cartwright and Todd Mosher picked the right day to host a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony at their second office in East Providence.
“We’re growing by leaps and bounds,” said Cartwright of RE/MAX River’s Edge in Barrington on Wednesday afternoon. “I’ve been saying that all day.”
She was referring to Leap Day on Wednesday, if you didn’t get the connection. Cartwright had a playful smile on her face as she said it.

Cartwright and Mosher actually have been operating RE/MAX River’s Edge of East Providence for a couple of months. They are leasing the building that used to house the former RE/Max Heritage agency at 692 Warren Ave.
You can’t miss the building if you travel Route 195 west. It sits on the right on a rise at the exit to Warren Avenue (Route 6).

Cartwright, an East Providence native, said that taking over the East Providence agency “just felt like a nice fit. We handle real estate all over the East Bay.”
Approximately 17 agents work out of the East Providence office, she said. The Barrington office has about 34 agents.
The East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored the ribbon-cutting to welcome them to the city and business organization. Executive Director Laura McNamara provided the gold ribbon and over-sized scissor.
The two-year-old building has two floors with a spacious foyer, numerous offices, several conference rooms, a kitchen, a virtual office and a copy room. A long ramp leads from the parking lot with an entrance right at the traffic lights on Warren Avenue at the 195 exit.
Mosher said the time seemed right to grow the agency when Heritage became available.
“We opened in 2005 in Barrington,” he said. “We started thinking of expanding about two or three years ago.”
Dozens of colleagues and friends stopped by the office between 4 and 7 pm for an open house. They did not seem deterred by one of the few storms of the winter dropping snow and sleet outside.
Cartwright and Mosher set up several food and drink tables on both floors so guests would tour the building. Leap Day seemed like the perfect day to cut a ribbon.
