Sons of Liberty Spirits Co. Wins Two in Best American Single Malt Category from Whisky Magazine's 2016 World Whiskies Awards

South Kingstown, RI (March 23, 2016) – Sons of Liberty Spirits Company has taken home Gold and Silver honors in the Best American Single Malt Whiskey category from the global whiskey industry’s most prestigious blind tasting competition – Whisky Magazine’s annual World Whiskies Awards.

Sons of Liberty was recently awarded Gold for its BATTLE CRY American Single Malt Whiskey and Silver for its UPRISING American Single Malt Whiskey at the North American Whiskies & Spirits Conference in New York, NY.

“It’s a tremendous honor, we are very excited to represent New England in such a big way,” said Sons of Liberty Founder Mike Reppucci. “Just to be in the conversation with some of the more well-known, longstanding brands in this industry is awesome, let alone take home an award.”

2016 marks the third straight year Sons of Liberty has earned recognition from the World Whiskies Awards, winning a World’s Best in 2014 for its Pumpkin Spice Flavored Whiskey and winning Best Flavored Whiskey in North America in 2015 for its Hop Flavored Whiskey. The team at Sons of Liberty has put together quite the collection having now earned 42 awards in tasting competitions, most coming in the last 2 years, and they say anything less than gold just fuels their fire.
