Sowams School Octoberfest 2015

Sowams School is excited to announce our 22nd annual Octoberfest fundraiser on Saturday, October 17th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year’s festival will have many favorites from previous years such as the haunted hayride, an obstacle course, nail and face painting, a photo booth, mystery bags, and the much loved Cake Walk. Attendees can also participate in a karate or fencing demo, the Angry Birds launcher or hovercrafts.

You can also try for one of the fabulous themed gift baskets in the raffle contest. Some of this year’s basket themes are Life in Rhode Island, Fall Fitness, Spa Day, Legos, and Movie Night. There will be various food and drinks available for purchase, including delectable soups from the Blount Market in Warren.

Octoberfest serves as the largest fundraiser of the year for the Sowams Parent Teacher Organization. This event helps fund field trips, iPads for the classrooms, special guest speakers, art programs, new library books, family nights at the school, as well as maintenance of the school gardens and playground. Please join us to help support our local school children while enjoying the festive fun and games!

Admission is free and there will be a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Sowams School is located at 364 Sowams Road in Barrington. The event will be held rain or shine.
