Easter Weekend: Sunny Skies; Bands Battle
Here are five things you should know heading into this Easter weekend in Barrington.
- Today is Good Friday, the start of Easter weekend. On this day Christians commemorate the passion, or suffering, and death on the cross of Jesus Christ. There is no school in Barrington today. Town Hall closes at noon. The YMCA and Barrington library, along with all town facilities and offices, are closed on Easter Sunday.
- The weather for this Easter weekend should be mostly sunny, with temperatures in the low to mid 50s.
- The Bayside YMCA is open regular hours today, and offers tonight. Reservations must be made in advance.
- The United Methodist Church offers a supper at 5 pm tonight and an Easter Egg Hunt and party for children 12 and under on Saturday from 10 am to noon.
- This Saturday at 7 pm it's , a battle of the bands at the Barrington Democratic Club, which supports the Relay for Life.
