Tick talk. Physicians discuss tick-borne illnesses at forum on Sept. 30 at Barrington Public Library
To address concerns about Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses, area doctors will host an information session on Sept. 30

Reported cases of Lyme disease have increased nearly four times. To address concerns regarding Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses, area doctors will host a public information session on September 30, from 7pm to 9pm at the Barrington Public Library, 281 County Road.
This public health forum will feature a panel of physicians with specialties in cardiology, infectious diseases, neuropsychology, chiropractic, and veterinary medicine. Material covered will include what is a tick-borne illness and how to know if you have been infected. The discussion will also review symptoms, treatment options, acute and chronic manifestations of Lyme Disease and how to protect yourself.
Following the panel presentation, there will be a question-and-answer session for attendees.

“The increase in Lyme disease has concerned many of us in the medical profession both from a health perspective and the need to get information to the general public,” said Dr. Clive W. Bridgham, one of the speakers and a chiropractic physician at Barrington Chiropractic & Sports Medicine Clinic. “With this session we hope to educate attendees on the facts on tick-borne illnesses and the preventative measures you can take to protect your children and yourself.”
