Town Council Meets; Teachers in Films Series Continues

“Waiting for Superman” continues the series, Teachers in Film, tonight at 7 in the Barrington auditorium. Filmmaker Davis Guggenheim reminds us that education "statistics" have names: Anthony, Francisco, Bianca, Daisy, and Emily, whose stories make up the engrossing foundation of the 2010 film, which follows a handful of promising kids through a system that inhibits, rather than encourages, academic growth.
