Two Barrington Girls, 12, Arrested for Beating and Forcing Teen to Strip, Eat Butter

The pre-teens are facing charges of kidnapping, felony assault and other charges for holding a 15-year-old captive and confronted her.

Two 12-year-old Barrington girls are facing an assortment of charges stemming from their alleged violent and disturbing attack on a 15-year-old girl they invited to a sleepover and then held captive and abused.

Barrington Police Chief John M. LaCross said the two pre-teen girls were charged with felony assault, multiple counts of simple assault and conspiracy charges and were held over the weekend before a Family Court hearing on Monday when they were released to their parents.

Police said the victim was invited to a sleepover on Wednesday night and confronted by the two girls when she arrived. The pre-teens ordered the victim to remove her clothes and she was choked, slapped, hit with a wooden brush, forced to eat butter, insulted, taunted and had make up smeared on her face.
