WHAT IS DISTRACTED DRIVING?

Are you aware of the dangers of distracted driving? Read our blog to learn about our partnership with Nikki's Foundation, PADD and their efforts to spread awareness.

Distracted driving does not discriminate. It is an epidemic that has swept the nation. It is killing infants, children, teens and adults and the elderly.  Distracted driving is beyond texting, it is when a driver does anything else the acts as a barrier to their cognitive or physical abilities to drive safely on the road.

WHO IS MOST VULNERABLE TO DISTRACTED DRIVING?

Research shows that the most vulnerable years of driving is during the first few years on the road, 16-19 years old. We know that it can be tempting to answer a text message or phone call while driving—but what if teens new that “lol” would be there last text? Too often, it is a teen’s last text. Talk to your teens about not driving distracted today and become a role model by not driving distracted yourself. OUR PARTNERSHIP

On behalf of the millions of victims who have been severely injured or killed by distracted driving, Malman Law has partnered with Nikki’s Foundation, PADD a non-profit organization based in New Jersey. PADD was developed after the death of 18 year old Nikki Kelleyni, who was killed in a distracted driving accident before graduating high school. Malman Law has created a campaign to stop distracted driving. On our campaign site, visitors can become their own advocate by taking the pledge not to drive while distracted. For every pledge, Malman Law will be donating $1 to the PADD organization to support their ongoing efforts. Additionally, we are asking that you become your own ambassador and share our campaign with your local community members, friends and family via social media or by word of mouth.
