'White Church' Changing Color

Painters with Catanzaro & Sons of Barrington are giving two exterior walls of the Barrington Congregational Church a facelift; off with an old coat of white and on with a fresh coat of white.

Barrington's "White Church," perhaps the town's most recognizable landmark, is changing color.

Painters for Catanzaro & Sons of Barrington were sanding off an old coat of white paint on the north and south exterior walls on Thursday. They will apply a new coat of white paint to those walls as soon as the sanding is done.

The repainting job began Wednesday and will continue for at least a week, according to a church representative. The east and west walls of the church were repainted last year.
