Police said they had to call in a tactical team and an armored vehicle before arresting a 44-year-old man.

WARREN, RI — Police in Warren arrested a man Tuesday morning after they said he shot at a man's bedroom door and caused a heavy police presence outside an apartment building.

Silvio Damico, 44, was charged with firing in a compact area and disorderly conduct.

Warren police were called to an apartment in the 30th block of Warren Avenue around 6:15 a.m., after a woman called saying a man was shooting a BB gun at a bedroom door inside the first floor apartment. The woman told police her 28-year-old son was inside the bedroom.
