5 Things to Know About Saving Fatima High School
Monday's meeting at Fatima High School yielded a number of ideas on ways to try to save Our Lady of Fatima High School.
On Monday, February 20, more than a hundred students, friends, family and supporters of saving Our Lady of Fatima High School met at the school at 6:30 pm to come up with ideas to prevent its closure this June.
Of the ideas brought forward, the following are a few of the big ideas from the meeting provided by supporter and alumna Laurie D'Arcangelo.
- Open House
Fatima High School will be hosting an Open House next month. It will be held on March 3, 3012 from 10 am to 12:30 pm. The school needs to recruit students from the 5th grade level and beyond. - Tuition Reduction
Parents have been talking about tuition reduction for new incoming students. The goal is to recruit at least 40 new students with the following ideas:
Tuition for high school grades 9 - 12 will go from the current tuition of $9,950 down to $6,900 for new incoming students.
Tuition for elementary grades 6 - 8 will go from the current tuition of $6,750 down to $3,500 for new incoming students. - Fundraisers
Fundraisers at the school are in the process of being compiled and implemented. Fatima needs a jump start to open 2012 - 2013 then make continued efforts beyond that point to keep the school in operation. - Donate
Supporters can donate money to the school through a school donation website. This is a Fatima family and friends sponsored drive to keep Our Lady of Fatima open. All donations will be refunded should the school not open in school year 2013. To donate, visit fatimahs.org/save.html. - Be Informed
