Addition to Mt. Hope Program Hopes to Benefit High Schoolers, Roger Williams Students

A new addition to Mt. Hope's extended day program will allow students the opportunity to gain extra help with school work.

Although the Extended Day Program has been in place for the past few years, a new addition to the program is expected to be beneficial for high school students. Starting this week, students from will volunteer their time during after-school hours to help high schoolers with their studies.

According to Assistant Principal Jaime Crowley, the RWU portion of the program is in its early stages but is expected to help students who need additional help succeed at doing assignments and homework. With the addition of volunteer university students, program organizers hope that it will help bridge the Bristol and university communities, benefiting both the high school and university students.
