
The Department of Environmental Management's Division of Fish and Wildlife will hold public workshops in Providence and Tiverton this month to discuss the proposed 2013-2014 freshwater fishing seasons and the 2012-2013 hunting seasons and bag limits.
Public workshops will be held on Tuesday, March 27 at the , 1529 Fish Road in Tiverton and on Thursday, March 29 in the third floor cafeteria at DEM headquarters located in the Foundry Building at 235 Promenade Street in Providence. Both workshops will take place at 7 p.m.
DEM has filed a technical revision to the 2012-2013 Freshwater Fishing Regulations related to the use of . The Division of Fish and Wildlife has modified the regulation prohibiting the use of foot gear with external felt soles so that it applies only to the fresh waters of the state.

A public hearing on the proposed regulations will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at 7 p.m. in the Warwick Police Department's Community Room at 99 Veteran's Memorial Drive in Warwick.
Copies of the draft regulations will be available at the public workshops and will be posted on DEM’s website, www.dem.ri.gov, by March 23.
