Art Night Reception at Made in Warren

As part of Bristol/Warren Art Night, Made in Warren Artist Cooperative will hold a reception for its July feature artists on Thursday, July 28 6-8 PM. Meet and mingle with artists working in many mediums including paintings, prints and photography as well as ceramics, elegant bags, jewelry, glass, fiber art, wood crafts and more. The featured artists for July are Megan Douglas, Mary Hunt, Kathy Weber and Matthew Finger.

Megan Douglas is a doctor, mother, volunteer and now a potter. She enjoys experimenting with stoneware shapes and a variety of glaze techniques to make pottery to be enjoyed and used in daily life.

Kathy Weber's paintings are fresh and colorful. She enjoys painting people, still life and landscapes, and her work is in collections in many countries. She has won a number of awards in addition to a feature of her still life painting in American Artists magazine.

Mary Hunt designs and manufactures handcrafted wine, book and market totes, many featuring nautical themes and up-cycled sailboat rigging. She is a sailor herself who draws much of her inspiration from nature and minimalism.

Matthew Finger is an artist and illustrator. His body of abstract work explores color, texture and shape in small tile-like pieces. He finds inspiration in the world all around him from the toys his nine-year old boy plays with, the colorful label of a discarded candy wrapper to a worn antique piece of ceramic tile.
