No, it's not some strange disease. Most boaters know that Anodes are sacrificial metals used on boats to protect of the underwater metal parts of a boat or motor from corrosive electrolytic action. As a boater, Im always trying to save money. Please do not skimp on the quality of your anodes. Consider a Godfrey zinc. Yes, they are expensive but designed in a unique way that will guarantee that electrical connections are maintained.
