Bay View Coach is State's Best
Soccer coach Martin Yarumian has been named the coach of the year.

Bay View Academy soccer coach Martin Yarumian has been named the Division One Soccer Coach of the Year by his fellow coaches in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League.
The Bay View Bengals had their best season in years under the new leadership of Coach Martin, who has been coaching soccer since the age of 14 and has worked in several collegiate summer programs, including Bryant and Princeton universities. Coach Martin holds a United States Soccer Federation class "D" license.
The Bengals soccer team also wrapped up nine additional (RIIL) post-season awards. The awards for the 2012 fall soccer season include:

- Division One All-Division: Mikaela Lee, Christina Conley (Bristol), Sofia Cabral (Bristol), Marianna Bailey.
- Second Team All-State: Gabrielle Smith.
- First Team All-State: Hannah Lee.
- Division One All-Tournament: Mikaela Lee, Rylee Leonard.
- Sportsmanship Award: Kimberly Grattan.
