Great tools for assessing legislators' performance

There are many tools available online to help you investigate the voting history of your legislators. Here are links to two of them.

At Rhode Island Votes (www.rhodeislandvotes.org/)  you can look up your legislators' voting history. This can be a great help in deciding who gets your vote on election day.

After going to the site, you choose the legislator from the drop-down menu and click search. It will bring up all of the votes for that particular legislator. You can also look for voting records on a certain issue, i.e., education. You will also see how many times your legislator did NOT vote.

Rhode island Sttewide Coalitio (RISC) provides a site that breaks down how the legislators voted on key issues. This can be found at www.statewidecoalition.com/the-legislature/

Both of these tools provide a wealth of information enabling you to become a more informed voter.
