Important BCWA Election for Chairman

BCWA meeting to elect Chairman.

There is a very important Bristol County Water Authority Meeting this Wednesday, May 30, to be held at the Barrington Town Hall, 283 County Road, Barrington.

There will be an election for the new chairman. Bill Gosselin, Warren Director, was nominated by Ray Palmieri. Alan Klepper of Barrington has been nominated by John Jannitto.

You may remember Klepper's rants on ratepayers.  If not they can be viewed at the following sites:

Bill Gosselin has always conducted himself as a gentlemen and has showed respect for the ratepayers who attend the meetings. He is organized and well-spoken and has the experience required to help turn this organization around.

He was the only director to attend the ADHOC committee meetings that were working on changes to the Bristol County Water Authority Act legislation.

He was the only director to ask that Delise step down early, rather than wait for December, and consequently received some flack from other board members.

Whoops! Just got word that Bill Gosselin has asked that his nomination be withdrawn. He is supporting Alan Klepper. Looks like this is going to be "business as usual" with the "old guard" running the show behind the scenes.  Just when we thought there might be real change ...

Please try to attend this meeting!
