My intent with the blog is to inform those interested about the many events sponsored by the 4^th of July Committee over the next few weeks.  The details are also on our web site www.july4thbristolri.com

Springtime Valentine Breakfast: Sunday, Apr. 28, 2013

The first event is the rescheduled Valentine Breakfast that was snowed out in February. The rescheduled day is Sunday, Apr. 28 from 8 to 11:30 am. Tickets are $10 for adults, $4 for children 10 to 6 and free for children 5 and under. The “Springtime” Post Valentine Breakfast is at the Cup Defenders Association, 230 Wood St., Bristol. Menu is scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, home fries, pancakes, pastry, juice and coffee Ticket price includes raffle. Annual Card Party: Monday, May 6, 2013

Doors open 5 pm, event starts at 7 pm

Join us for our annual Card Party in the Auditorium of St Mary’s Church on Wood Street in Bristol. It’s an evening of fun as you play cards or your favorite board game with family and friends. Refreshments will be served. There are three different raffle events with hundreds of prizes. When you first arrive purchase candy bars that have three raffle tickets attached. Since there are never enough candy bars you can purchase just tickets for the second raffle. The admission also includes the door prize raffle. Call the event chairman for tickets or purchase them at the door. Be sure to bring playing cards and your favorite board game.

Annual Golf Tournament: Saturday, May 18, 2013

An Evening of Doo-Wop by Reminisce: Saturday June 1, 2013

Join us at Jacky’s Galaxie for an evening of listening and dancing with New England’s premiere Doo-wop group, Reminisce. Tickets are $18 each and must be purchased in advance. Doors open a 6:30 pm. Reminisce performs from 7 to 11 pm. There will be snacks, raffles and door prizes. Tables of 10 can be reserved. Call Jeanne at (401) 253-6113 for tickets or you can call Ann at (401) 396-9072.
