BRISTOL BLOOMS


BRISTOL BLOOMS, a volunteer initiative to beautify downtown Bristol, will hang their first eight blooming flower baskets on the new street lanterns in time for the 4th of July! The baskets are filled with red, white, and blue blossoms to commemorate the Town's 4th festivities.

Initially, the four lanterns on the corners of Hope and State Streets will be decorated to showcase BRISTOL BLOOMS plan to hang baskets on all 126 lanterns along Hope Street in 2014.

BLOOMRAISER, an event to raise revenue is planned for Sept.19 at DeWolf Tavern's waterfront tent. Citizens and local businesses will be able to Adopt a Lantern.

$150 covers the cost of one lantern with two specially designed baskets, bracket, flowers, soil and watering expenses. A half pole can be adoped for $75. Donations in ANY amount, large or small, may now be sent to  BRISTOL BLOOMS, PO Box 1083, Bristol 02809.
