Bristol Man Arrested After Shelter-In-Place In Neighborhood
Police said a man on Naomi Avenue threatened his son with a gun, prompting the shelter-in-place.

BRISTOL, RI ā A Bristol man was arrested, following threats he made that triggered a shelter-in-place in a town neighborhood.
Police were called to Naomi Avenue around 1 p.m., Wednesday, for a report of a domestic argument. Police told WPRI 12 Richard Coelho threatened his son with a gun during the fight. Coelho then locked himself inside the home, where there were several guns, police said.
The incident caused police to issue a shelter-in-place for the Naomi Street neighborhood. Police in a Facebook post said there was no threat at Mt. Hope High School, and students were dismissed at their normal time. The shelter-in-place has since been lifted.
