Bristol Police Arrest Three for Domestic Assault, Three for Marijuana Possession

A look at Bristol Police activity for Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Sunday Nov. 28

Police reported to  on Wednesday, Nov. 24, after a chemical spill in room E101. No injuries reported.

A man was struck by a vehicle between Hope Street and Bradford Street at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24. The vehicle left the scene and the man was transported to Newport Hospital.

On Thursday, Nov. 25, Richard Difrenna, 40, of 327 High Street was arrested for violating a no contact order.

On Friday, Nov. 26, a woman reported to authorities after receiving a phone call from a male who identified himself as her son. According to police, the woman stated that the man claimed he needed bail, so the woman wired him $2,625 via Western Union.

Victor Rodriguez, 24, of Providence was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 27, for possession of marijuana and for driving in possession of a controlled substance.

Jessica Dias, 31, of 26 Bay View Avenue was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 27. According to police, an unknown caller reported a domestic situation on the second floor of the building. Dias was charged with domestic simple assault.

On Saturday, Nov. 27, Keith Fitzgerald, 23, of 3 Bay View Avenue was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Also arrested on Saturday Nov. 27 was Dennis Silva, 25, of 32 State Street. Silva was charged with domestic trespassing.

On Sunday, Nov. 28, Brian Grandgeorge, 19, of 322 Wood Street, was arrested for reportedly assaulting his father. According to police, Grandgeorge's father attempted to call authorities and Grandgeorge took the phone away from him. Upon police arrival to the residence, Grandgeorge reportedly had fled the scene. Authorities located Grandgeorge and he was charged with domestic simple assault.

Matthew Herbert, 38, of Fairhaven Mass. and Daniel O'Connel, 23, of Barrington, were arrested on Sunday, Nov. 28, for urinating in public.

Anh Bui, 22, of 97 Union Street was charged with domestic simple assault on Sunday, Nov. 28, after a caller reported that Bui had assaulted her roommate. According to the caller, the roommate had reportedly refused rescue treatment, but when police arrived, the victim was transported to Newport Hospital. 

Louis Barry, 19, of 71 Burton Street was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 28, for possession of marijuana, driving in possession of a controlled substance, and possession of less than 5oz of marijuana with intent to sell.

Between Wednesday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 28, three people were arrested for driving after denial with suspended or revoked licenses. Those arrested were Brittany Maclean, 25, of Fairhaven Mass., Gail Bell, 58, of 33 Buttonwood Street, and Cody Fernandes, 23, of Westport, Mass.,
