Bristol Police Launch Coronavirus Birthday Program
Parents can request a visit from an officer for their child's birthday, lights and sirens included.

BRISTOL, RI — If your child is disappointed that they can't have a big party or go out to celebrate their birthday, Bristol police have a solution. Parents can sign up to have a police cruiser visit their home and turn on the lights and sirens to celebrate the child's special day.
Residents can request a birthday visit by sending the address, contact information, name and age of the child and a date and timeframe for the visit to dispatch@bristolri.gov or by calling 401-253-6900. These visits are intended for kids aged 16 and under. Contact dispatch with any special circumstances.
Officers will carefully follow social distancing protocols during visits, the department said.
