BRISTOL RECYCLES DAY is smashing success!

BRISTOL RECYCLES DAY, held on the Town Common, attracted well over 300 participants on a beautiful warm autumn Saturday!   Three huge bins were filled with old computers brought to be recycled,  numerous compost bins, rain barrels, energy saving light bulbs and power strips were sold to eager participants ready to become recyclers!  Keith Maloney, chairman, and the Bristol Recycles Team, attired in bright blue logo tee shirts, were eager to chat about the benefits of recycling to all.  Many town officials and administrators were present as a show of support to the attendees, and to reinforce the tax saving benefits to Bristol by their recycling efforts.  Bristol now only recycles at 19%, but this effort hopefully will increase Bristol's rate to 35% which is mandated by the State of Rhode Island.

Thank you to all the vendors and environmental groups who helped make the day a huge success!  Now, let's RECYCLE!!
