Bristol Wrestling Club Places 18 Athletes in State, Six in New England Championships

The wrestling club reports a great overall season.

More than a dozen young athletes from the Bristol Wrestling Club placed in the state competion held on Saturday, March 3, and six placed in the New England Championship held last weekend.

Of the four divisions (categorized from youngest to the oldest) Bantam, Intermediate, Novice and Middle School, 18 athletes pushed themselves to the limits in the state competition held at Coventry High School. As a team, the Bristol Wrestling Club placed 18 out of 20 wrestlers and won the overall Intermediate Division. Wrestlers Cory Grifka, Jacob Dumkuski and Jacob Zasowski also took home state champion titles. Below is a list of how wrestlers for the Bristol Wrestling Club placed during states.
