Christmas at Linden Place

Festivities at the mansion include tours of decorated Linden Place, and scavenger hunts for kids beginning Thanksgiving weekend!

Linden Place Museum, located in downtown Bristol, Rhode Island, is celebrating the holiday season with tours of the 200-year old Federal-style mansion beginning Thanksgiving weekend and continuing throughout the month of December.

Feel like a personal guest of the Colt family as you stroll through the festively decorated mansion rooms complete with beautiful wreaths, illuminated mantles and evergreen swags. From the festooned four-story spiral staircase to the trio of Christmas trees in the gothic conservatory to the charm of the early 20th century butler’s pantry, surprises await visitors around every corner.

This year, a scavenger hunt tours will be part of the celebration. Linden Place’s scavenger hunts offer children and adults the opportunity to see this historical house museum in a whole new light! Make your way through our 200-year old mansion rooms and seek out dozens of artifacts, big and small, while you learn about Linden Place’s rich architectural and family history. Seek out a Roman, life-size marble statue of Bacchus, search for George Washington and find out the meaning behind the phrase “sleep tight and don’t let the bedbugs bite!” Fun and educational for all ages!
