Citizens Bank and the Audubon Society of Rhode Island Announce Family Free Fun Days

Citizens Bank provides free admission and programs Saturday June 4 at Audubon Society of Rhode Island's Environmental Education Center

Admission to the Audubon Society of Rhode Island’s Environmental Education Center will be free on the first Saturday of every month, courtesy of a grant from Citizens Bank.

Families can explore environmental exhibits representing Rhode Island’s diverse habitats, from upland meadow and cornfields to wetlands, salt marshes and the Narragansett Bay shoreline.

Situated on the beautiful 28-acre McIntosh Wildlife Refuge, visitors can enjoy beautiful nature trails. The Environmental Education Center offers a wide variety of education programs as well as outreach to schools throughout the state.

Join us for a day of service on Saturday June 4 and show the earth how much you care by giving back to nature! Young and old can lend a hand. Programs and admission are free thanks to Citizens Bank. Audubon Society of Rhode Island’s Environmental Education Center is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a schedule to include the following:

- 9:30 am - 12:00 pm: Goodwill Donation: Bring your old toys, clothing, electronics, household items, and more!

- 10:00 am - 2:00 pm: Nature Craft Table

- 10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Grab a shovel and a rake…we’re making our nature path even better with new wood chips and you can help out!

- 10:00 am and 2:00 pm: Nature Story

- 11:00 am and 1:00 pm: Animal Interview

- 1:00 - 3:00 pm: Coastal Cleanup. Help keep the shoreline clean and pollution free! Take a walk down to Narragansett Bay and lend a hand.
