Confidential Drop-In Hours for Victims of Domestic Violence

Women's Resource Center offers extended drop-in hours for men & women who have experienced domestic violence & children who have witnessed.

The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) serving Newport and Bristol Counties is offering extended drop-in service hours at its Warren location for adult victims of domestic violence and children that have witnessed.

A Crisis Advocate is on staff at WRC’s Warren, R.I. location at 624 Main Street each Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to provide emergency assistance or safety planning and other resources. No appointment is necessary to access these completely confidential services.

In addition to walk-in services on Tuesdays, counseling services are available by appointment between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Warren location. Appointments can be made by calling (401) 846-5263.

Women’s Resource Center’s licensed social workers and mental health professionals provide support for persons who have experienced physical, verbal, sexual, emotional, and financial abuse. In addition, WRC provides shelter, support groups, educational programming, and more thanks to foundations that provide financial support. These include the van Beuren Charitable Foundation, John Clarke Trust, Barrington District Nurses, Bristol Female Society, and the Herbert and Daisy Stride Foundation.
