December 20, 2014- Holiday Market and Celebration at Mount Hope Farm
Gifts, Grub and Goodness at the Mount Hope Farmers Market this Saturday!
The Mount Hope Farmers Market will celebrate the Holidays with a host of special activities on Saturday, December 20, from 9 am to 1 pm. This last market before the Holidays will be more festive than ever, with live music, kids crafts, Special Guests and community programs that support those in need- and let’s not forget all the locally grown and lovingly prepared foodstuffs from Farms and craftspeople all over RI.

Marketgoers will be greeted in Victorian style by the Very Merry Dickens Carolers; a beloved RI performing group, the carolers will flatter our landscape with holiday tunes dressed in traditional garb of days gone by. Kids can participate in decorating gingerbread men and make-their-own cocoa mix for take home (or for Santa!) In keeping with the Holiday spirit and their commitment to community service, the Mount Hope Farm 4H Clubs will be collecting donations for both the East Bay Food Pantry and the Bristol Animal Shelter. Non-perishable food items are always appreciated but always more so in this season. Our furry friends need help too; if you cannot consider adoption, why not bring some extra pet chow; kitty litter or gently used towels or blankets to the market. We’ll get it to the shelter for you!
Mount Hope Farm is pleased to welcome Dr. Anna Portnoy, Riverside Animal Hospital, to our market this week. Our “Ask Dr. Anna” event- a prelude to additional winter programming this year- is for kids of all ages- have a burning question about your pet’s personality or health? Considering adoption but want an expert’s advice? Working through what it takes to start a farm in your backyard? Dr. Anna Portnoy specializes in domestic and livestock pet care. Bring a donation for the Bristol Animal Shelter and “Ask Dr. Anna!”! You’ll be glad you did.
