Donna Lange: "Sail Twice Around Non-Stop Sail Around the World"

Donna Lange will be speaking at the Herreshoff Marine Museum Museum on Thursday July 16th: “Sail Twice Around: Non-Stop Sail around the World”

Donna Lange will soon be departing on her Southern Cross 28, INspired INsanity, to solo sail around the world, nonstop. Come listen to her story about her first trip around the world and how she plans to do it again.

Donna Lange is not only an accomplished sailor, she is also a grandmother of 11, a registered nurse, musician/songwriter and one of few American female sailors to solo circumnavigate the world. Donna sailed around the globe in 2007, only stopping twice during her journey. Today, she plans on doing it again, this time non-stop. She will leave Bristol this July and will return in May of 2016. During her voyage, she will be raising funds for OceanWatch North America, an organization she founded dedicated to environmental education and the preservation of our oceans. She has also produced a new CD and a book to fund her trip, titled Finding My Way in Song.
