There will be an interesting and diverse split bill at the Stone Church Coffeehouse in Bristol, R.I., this Saturday evening, Sept. 29.
Howie Newman (www.howienewman.com) kicks off the show with his unique blend of music, comedy and audience participation. His amusing compositions are up-tempo and catchy, and he keeps things lively with funny between-songs banter and short comedy bits (there is also a smattering of serious songs). The material is suitable for all ages.
Also on the bill are Rick, Andy and Judy (www.rickandyjudy.com), a Peter Paul and Mary tribute group. Blending superb harmonies and beautiful melodies, the trio has been delighting audiences all over New England. Rick, Andy and Judy put energy and passion into their music, taking us back to the folk scene of the ’60s.
