Author of Civil War Book Set in RI to Appear at Library

The George Hail Library will feature Frank L. Grzyb, who will speak about his yet to be published book called Forgotten Souls. Mr. Grzyb is the author of two books about the Vietnam War, and has a lifelong passion for American history, especially the Civil War. 

Forgotten Souls, relies heavily on first-person accounts (letters and diaries) along with supportive documentation to detail the lives of convalescent soldiers (Union combatants and Confederate prisoners) at a long since forgotten Civil War general army hospital in the north, which just happens to be in Rhode Island.  
 
With the 150th commemoration of the start of the Civil War, this soon to be published book promises to take a look at the Civil War from a unique and different point of view.
