Book Signing and Discussion

Hans Schattle, associate professor of political science and international relations at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, will be speaking about his new book Globalization and Citizenship at the Rogers Free Library on Thursday, August 2.

This program, which promises to be an interesting inside view of the hot topic of “citizen of the world” as lived by someone immersed in two cultures, will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Herreshoff Community Room and is free and open to the public.

Dr. Schattle, the son of Arthur & Sheila Schattle of Bristol, graduated from Bristol High School, later receiving degrees in economics and journalism from Boston University and Boston College.  He earned his doctorate from Oxford in 2004. Before joining the faculty at Yonsei University, Dr. Schattle was an assistant professor of political science at Roger Williams University.
