Easter Week schedule for First Baptist Church of Bristol, RI

In celebration of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the First Baptist Church of Bristol celebrates Palm Sunday during its 10:30 service this Sunday, April 17. Pastor Nathaniel Manderson will deliver a special message using the Book of Matthew, members of the congregation will take part in the service, the senior choir will perform the rousing anthem Open Wide the Gates of Zion by Joseph Martin and the time-honored song Is It I Lord? by  Ruth Schram.  The distribution of palms takes place at the end of the service.

On Maundy Thursday, April 21, at 6 p.m. a special service in remembrance of Christ’s last supper will include hymns, prayers, and communion. A simple meal of homemade soup and bread follows.

The title of the Easter morning worship service, delivered by Pastor Manderson, is Resurrection and the Great Commission.  Members of the Youth Instrumental Music Ministry, Kylie McPherson, Brianna Ritoli, Audrey Duarte, Cheyanne Grimshaw, Jordan Abreu and Alex Duarte, will perform an arrangement of the ever-popular Easter Medley. Glorious, Risen Christ! enthusiastically sung by the senior choir, is predicted to rock the church off its foundation.
