The 1-mile Faith Walk for Charity to benefit Camp Sure Fire, a camp for children with diabetes, is today at Colt State Park. iRegistartion is at 1:30 pm and the walk is at 2 pm. This event was founded several years ago by a St. Michael's Episcopal Church parishioner, Chris Fay.
Since 2006 the Faith Walk for Charity has drawn together several hundred Rhode Islanders from a wide variety of religious traditions to walk one mile together and/or make a financial contribution. The walk has been led by clergy from Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, Muslim, Baptist, and Episcopal faiths, and over $110,000 has been raised. 100% of donations are given to the chosen beneficiary.
