Global Fest

The annual Global Fest event celebrates cultural diversity and gives community members the opportunity to learn more about diversity that exists in their own backyard.

During last year’s event, Global Fest drew over 640 attendees, including over 130 fourth and fifth graders from Colt-Andrews Elementary School in Bristol. The RWU international students shared their culture at over 80 interactive tables. Additionally, a number of students used the venue as an opportunity to display artistic and creative talents by performing traditional dances and songs.

This year, Global Fest will feature the Boston Peruvian musical group Inca Son from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Inca Son is regionally acclaimed performance group which is sure to captivate the audience with the traditional Scissors Dance. Also this year, Global Fest is pleased to help celebrate ELS Language Center’s 50th anniversary with a special booth commemorating their work.
