URI will offer a lecture on "Science for Siting: Engineering for Locating Wind Turbines." Besides an overview of land-based wind energy resources in RI, URI researchers Malcolm Spaulding and Gopu Potty will share a strategy for siting wind energy facilities that consider wind resources, technological and development constraints, and ecological issues.
