New Yoga & Fitness Studio in Bristol & Fundraising events for Residents United for Furry Friends!

 

Body Magic announces the opening of a new yoga and fitness studio located on 580 Wood Street in Bristol, RI. Supporting the belief in healing through educational movement practices, Body Magic's experienced instructors offer a variety of yoga and fitness classes as well as personal training and private lessons. Located in the quaint town of Bristol, Rhode Island, the studio exemplifies a sacred space for the community to explore movement as a way of wellness and the union of body, mind, and spirit. Instructors offer quality classes that support each student's journey and transformation to healthier and happier lives. The intimacy of the space allows for personal interactions with students and enables staff to create individualized plans to fulfill wellness goals. At Body Magic students are more than a number!

Studio owner Karen Booth has over 20 years of experience as a health and wellness practitioner. Her holistic approach and diverse background enable her to create customized programs for each client. She is a certified personal trainer, registered yoga instructor, licensed massage therapist, licensed physical therapist assistant and was also the first female body builder inducted into the Warren Athletic Hall of Fame.

Jessica Howard, Assistant at Body Magic, recently moved to Rhode Island from New Hampshire, where she received her B.A. From Keene State College in Theatre and Dance. She is a Certified Yoga Instructor, who received training from the SchoolYoga Institute in Sadhana practices. She was awarded the Alta Lu Townes Memorial Dance Endowment for excellence in dance and the Charles Hilderbrandt Award for Holocaust Studies in 2009. Howard will be presenting work and performing  at the Green Street Studio Emerging Artist Program July 8th and 9th. As a teaching artist, Howard led dance and yoga residencies in the NH and VT school districts grades K-12. She also has experience as a Youth Development Professional at Stonewall Farm, teaching youth about agriculture and sustainability. Among teaching group and private lessons in both yoga and dance at Body Magic, Howard works with Lorraine Chapman the Company as a performance artist and is a teaching artist for the ACT program at the Saint Andrew's School

 

Instructor Jennifer Lobach, certified in Child Light Yoga, will lead Back to Basics, an outdoor and yoga program for youth. Back to Basics is interested in reconnecting youth to healthy living through yoga, fitness, nutrition, and outdoor activities. Registration is currently open for the next program beginning July 11. With its diverse staff and educational movement programs, Body Magic is a small studio with a lot to offer.

 

Body Magic welcomes new students to come by and receive a complimentary class. Summer is here and so are great specials for discounts on monthly's and class cards. Among its class offerings Body Magic will be hosting workshops and other events in effort to raise funds for the Residents United for Furry Friends (RUFF) this summer.
