Today is the beginning of a new era for Pop Warner Football as the Bristol Mustangs and the Warren/Swansea Redskins hold registrations as the new East Bay Warrior Football and Spirit organization. There has been much discussion about this for the last four years. Over the winter the executive boards of both organizations held meetings biweekly to discuss and ultimately decide to merge the two organizations. There will be dual boards for this year, so both organizations are represented through the transition. This was not an easy decision for either the Redskins or the Mustangs, but with a merged school district and lower registration numbers it only makes sense. They have also decided to add dance teams to their spirit squads, under the direction of Sherri Winn from Just dance studios. The games and practices will be held at the Warren Veterans Field (located behind Kickemuit Middle School) as that is a central location for the members from Bristol, Warren and Swansea. Much will stay the same, we will be larger, stronger, and more competitive on both the football and cheerleading squads. Children from the ages of 5-15 from Bristol, Warren, and Swansea are welcome to participate in our first year as the EAST BAY WARRIORS
