Prudence Island Tour

Celebrate Earth Day with a visit to Prudence Island with the Audubon Society of RI. Explore the island's various habitats and natural beauty as well as learn about the cultural history that makes Prudence so unique.

The day begins at 9:45 am with a half-hour ferry ride from Bristol to the island. After exploring the south end of the island and having lunch at the Center, the trip will take a van to tour the north end of the island with stops along the way to visit the island's one room schoolhouse, historic features such as farms and stonewalls and natural features including salt marshes, beaches and wooded uplands. If time and conditions allow there will be opportunities for short hikes and bird watching.

Arrive at the ferry landing by 9:45 to catch the 10:00 am ferry to Prudence Island.
