Three Scary Stories

David Mello, master story teller, will be at the George Hail Library Thursday August 23 as a part of the adult summer reading program "Read between the Covers".

In this one hour program, he will tell 3 scary stories: Poe's Tell Tale Heart, a story everyone is familiar with; The hole that will not stay filled, which is the tale of Bill Skeetoe, a Confederate soldier who  went home to see his ailing wife, but was lynched because he returned home to visit when others could not; and Skeleton Woman, an Inuit tale of a fisherman who snags a skeleton but as he returns home, he unknowingly drags the bones in his line, but finds at night in his sleep, she sings herself back to life.

This one hour program is sure to delight and scare. The audience is intended for teenagers and adults. It is not appropriate for elementary school age children.
