Using A Journal As A Writer's Tool

Remember your old diary from sixth grade, the one place where you let yourself pour your heart and soul out? Do you find yourself longing for that same inner sense of freedom you had as a child? What you need to do is journal. In this workshop, you will recapture that same freedom of expression you had as a kid, pushing past the inner-censor and releasing everything on to paper. We will explore what it means to journal, why it’s necessary for all writers to keep a journal (or two or ten), and how to develop and continue the practice of journaling. We will also learn some journaling techniques and exercises that you can take with you and use any time, anywhere. Then, you will learn how to take this process into your writing projects so that they become effortless and fun.
