A Summer Book Sale is being held at the Bristol Historical & Preservation Society, 48 Court St. Bristol, on August 24th through the 26th. On Friday, Aug. 24, hours are 1:15 to 7 p.m. On Aug. 25-26, the sale will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The sale is open to all for free.
A large selection of books, hard covers and paperbacks, sorted by category will be available for purchase. Beyond the normal categories of fiction; items of interest include history, architecture, historic preservation, collectibles and antiques, autobiographies, biographies, and art. In addition to books for adults there are children’s books available. A selection of 19th century Finley maps are also on sale.
The book sale is a fund-raiser to benefit the operating fund and support the maintenance of the collections of the historical society.
